We were founded by former U.S. State Department Diplomat Syga Thomas and a team of senior consultants from the top echelons of diplomatic and professional services. Since 2016, Ensah has engaged with dozens of key stakeholders on critical global issues around the world.

Syga Thomas
Managing Director
Syga Thomas is the Managing Director at Ensah Advisory Partners, where he leads engagement across our entire portfolio of clients.
He previously served in the American Diplomatic Service from 2006 to 2015, developing specialisations on Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, as well as on transatlantic relations, and trade policy. During his diplomatic career, Syga held positions in South Korea, Washington, DC, Niger, Pakistan, and Spain, with his final assignment at the State Department's Office of Multilateral and Government Affairs.
Following his diplomatic tenure, Syga took on roles as a Special Adviser to various European companies and as Director of the Thomas Foundation in 2015. He is a Columbia University graduate and holds a master's degree in International Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).

John leads Ensah's Intelligence and crisis management work, bringing over two decades of experience in geopolitical risk, security, and foreign policy.
The former Deputy Fraud Chief at the U.S. Embassy in Colombia, he has since advised the NFL, Facebook, Google, and Apple on security operations, and worked as the Senior Strategic Risk Advisor for Merck & Co.
He holds an M.A. in International Economics from Johns Hopkins University and speaks six languages.

Miguel leads Ensah’s Due Diligence and Investigation division, bringing a wealth of experience from the U.S. Department of State and the NGO, The Halo Trust.
A former U.S. Diplomat and Intelligence Analyst for a private security firm in Los Angeles, he has supported Fortune 500 clients (e.g. Google, Apple, Facebook, Allen and Co.) managing risks and developing security strategies for events such as the Oscar's, and Davos Conferences.
He holds an M.A. in International Relations from the Complutense University of Madrid and speaks seven languages.
